Key Responsibilities:
- Electro-mechanical assembly and wiring of sonar systems and sub-assemblies from product documentation, assembly drawings and schematics.
- Assembly of sonar transducers including cable preparation, wiring, soldering, cable dressing using very fine and detailed assembly techniques.
- Ability to navigate through Klein software to find assembly drawings, BOMs, and wiring diagrams is a must.
- Tracking of kits and associated movement of various assemblies and sub-assemblies using traveler tags and MMAs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
- Must be able to read, understand and work from production documentation as well as engineering documents.
- IPC solder certified is a must.
- Proficient in the use of a variety of common power and hand tools such as tweezers and wire strippers.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work well with people at all levels.
- Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision following training period.
- Electronic skills are a plus. This would include function generators, power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Must be able to produce quality workmanship with consistent results.
